Dish Network to Accept Customer Bitcoin Payments
DISH internet provider has announced that they will begin to accept bitcoin and they have chosen Coinbase as their bitcoin payment processor.
This would make DISH the largest company and first subscription model pay-tv provider to accept bitcoin.

Among the Coinbase services, DISH will use Instant Exchange™ feature that will allow exchange of bitcoin payments to U.S dollars at the moment of the transaction.
The bitcoin payment option will be available for DISH customers choosing to make one-time payments on mydish.com starting in the third quarter. Customers will still have the option to make any payment online via credit card, debit card or bank account.
The strategic move for DISH is its lower fees than visa, master card or paypal network. Bitcoin ultimately means more profit for DISH.
This also makes DISH the third Fortune 500 company in a week to publicly speak about bitcoin, the others include Amazon, and Apple.
The question remains: “What are the other sectors that will start accepting bitcoin?”
